I was astounded when I read the article in the Wall Street Journal 8/30/11. I had a brain dissection in the right interior carotid about ten years ago with 90% blockage. Through the incredible good judgment of Gregory Pearl, M. D. at Baylor Dallas I am now 76 and having a good time. There is no residual evidence of this phenomenon. I had no factors to support the occurrence and continue to exercise regularly and eat a healthy diet as I always did. An interesting factor is that I have MCTD (CREST). Since I have one living daughter and eight granddaughters I would gladly permit use of my records and history in search for the cause of this scary horror. My access to incredible doctors saved my life big time. I am grateful to them.

Fabulous job, Traci! This made me nostalgic for last year when I attended the Symposium - as Sharonne says in this wonderful video, it was truly a life-altering experience for me.

Keep up the great work and THANK YOU on behalf of women everywhere (yes, even in Canada!) :-)
hugs

This is truly inspirational and awareness of heart disease in women has been overlooked for too long. I would love to be involved with the symposium in the future. Wishing you all continued success!
