Unmet expectations– Your experience was far different than ours and we had been to three top medical centers. Mayo has great doctors, effective diagnosis, but very poor communication and collaboration in the ongoing treatment of complex medical issues–which ironically is what they rest their reputation on. Their process issues caused my husbands needed surgery to be postponed as they had not run a needed pre-surgical test ( which he passed). He died four days after the original surgery date–and now the Mayo legal staff is involved in manipulating the cause of death. My advice–watch your back–at Mayo, and don’t be lulled into a false sense of security by their reputation and beautiful facilities.
