Life Restored for Patient at Mayo Clinic

By SMHNadmin

Kenneth Piehl describes the intense pain he felt from extensive blood clots in his legs and the overwhelming feelings of, 'joy and pride' he shared with the Mayo Clinic staff, who successfully administered his Mechanical Thrombectomy procedure. Mayo Clinic's Robert McBane II, M.D. explains the path to what Kenneth calls, "A life restored."

Finding this video has given my family hope for my dad. He is 54 years old and was injured at work as a State Trooper in Michigan. We will be traveling to Mayo from the Detroit area this week in search of a physician (like Dr. McBane, although he himself would be a miracle) who is able to help him with a VERY similar extensive blood clot to Mr. Piehl’s. After being told that there are no vascular surgeons locally with this capability, we were advised to try Mayo Clinic. We are praying for safe travel and now very hopeful that my Dad will get his life back!!
